Heading toward Wholeness

Article by Christine Crawford

Thank you so much for your patience over the last year as I navigated some enormous HOLY SHIFTs in my own faith and life. Moving yet again (this house makes 40), grieving some major losses, and healing from a painful marriage and unwanted divorce proved overwhelming. It felt crucial that I take some time to attend to my well-being and settle into this new chapter.

Thankfully, this prolonged season of hurt and sorrow (though devastating) has surprised my life and stretched my faith in joy-sparking and life-giving ways. In his kindness, God has drawn near to me in my suffering and taught me what it means to draw near to—and dwell well—with him. As I’ve done so, I have learned much about his mercy, my identity, and the veritable definition of love. I’ve also become an amateur expert on the importance of rest, emotional wellness, and relational health and gotten a crash course in stewarding my safety, sanity, and story.😉

Recognizing that many of us yearn for a deeper faith and richer relationships, I want to share all that God has helped me learn and shift in these areas. So while I’ve been MIA in public, I’ve been hard at work in private. And I invite you to join me in 2025 as we explore scriptural truths, spiritual practices, and helpful resources that can help us overcome overwhelm, embrace healing, and become more whole.

To that end, here’s what’s new & next at The Holy Shift:

  • We just launched a new podcast series called Draw Near | Dwell Well, which explores soul care and spiritual formation practices that help us connect more deeply with God, ourselves, and others. I will share all I’ve been learning about simplicity, slowing down, and stewarding my relational health and emotional wellness + chat with experts on these (and several other) practices.
  • Because I’m eager to equip and connect with you, I’ve also revamped the website, added new resources, and developed new spiritual growth and connection tools. Additionally, I’m offering an online course, personal Shift Sessions, and one-on-one Spiritual Mentoring.

As always, I hope this ministry helps us all SHIFT our perspective on Jesus, what He taught, and why it matters. Thanks for joining me as I explore the upside-down Kingdom of God as the right way forward in faith and life!💛
