Scripture

John 15:12-14: My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command.

2 John 1:12: I have much more to say to you, but I don’t want to do it with paper and ink. For I hope to visit you soon and talk with you face to face. Then our joy will be complete.

Matthew 18:20: For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.

Hebrews 10:24-25: And let us consider one another in order to provoke love and good works, not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day approaching.

Quotes

“I think we are all dreamers in the beginning… but the older we get, the more we just want to surrender to security.” Ashley Casebier

“Lord, what is your calling for my life, not my calling for my life?” Ashley Casebier

“Neither obeying your calling nor being in community is safe. But they are both commanded.” Christine Chandler Prater

“The coolest part of this whole journey is that all I had to do after surrendering to God was just to be myself. He wired all of us to be specifically who we are and have these passions.” Ashley Casebier

“I was specifically created to do this and yes, it requires a lot of bravery, but it is running the race for the kingdom and I will sign up for that every day for the rest of my life.” Ashley Casebier

“We have got to be willing to sit at the feet of Jesus and sit at the table with people that are different from us.” Christine Chandler Prater

Resources

Speaking of community, if you are looking for a community that seeks to know God and love others, we would love for you to join ours!

We’re committed to fostering unity by removing the relational barriers that prevent us from encountering Jesus, loving others, and glorifying God. So instead of drawing lines in the sand, we make room at the table for anyone who wants to encounter Jesus and love others.

By joining our community, you get access to fun bonus content and get to see everything before the general public does. Plus, we can notify you when we feature new creative content, launch new conversations, and offer new community opportunities.

At the Holy Shift, we honor the image of God in all people. Therefore, our "unlikely" community is made up of folks who look, vote, and believe differently from one another—and that couldn't make us happier.💛

“On your own, all you can do is talk about peace and demand justice. But in community, you can actually embody peace and do justice.” – Author Jason Porterfield

We would love to hear from you! How is God calling you to use the gifts he has given you? How are you obeying that calling and/or saying yes to his command to be in community?
